Actually, you do not know how many candidates declined an interview or may just "go through the motions" in order to keep their options open and not burn any bridges. Cutcliffe may be another "no" along with Strong, for example.

eric, you need to take your heart out of this matter and see that it is a damn mess in knoxville. i would be shocked if a big name coach tied his wagon too tennessee.

l work with a former ut football player and he wanted fulmer gone just like everyone else. now he is totally speechless when we talk about ut. all of a sudden, it wasnt so bad. at least he sees that ut is a mess right now.

Cutcliffe signed an extension before we even fired Dooley, he wouldn't have even been in play anyway.

We have obviously gone after Gruden and that didn't work out.

We interviewed Charlie Strong on Friday and that went really well.
We interviewed Mike Gundy on Sunday and that went well also.
The next interview is likely to be Jimbo Fischer.

We should have a coach by Wed-Friday.

Would you consider Charlie Strong, Mike Gundy or Jimbo Fisher a big name?

Because I would be shocked if our next coach isn't one of those three.
