Just know, Clemson and FSU will never be in the SEC.

I think they are going with 4 4-team pods rather than 2 8 team divisions and also going to a 9 game SEC schedule.

9 game schedule is just plain stupid nothing to gain there other than another chance for the gauntlet to bite someone in the butt. Look at LSU, they played 10 SEC games that my friend is brutal.

If UVa goes to the B1G, I think Va Tech and NC st will be invited to the SEC. Not Clemson (or FSU for that matter)

It works out MUCH better not playing a team for 10 years. Say bye to LSU! We may not see them again in the regular season with this setup until 2022.

The 4-division system that was discussed in another, very recent thread on this topicm was pretty good. But as was mentioned in that thread, the probalem with that set up is how to determine who plays for the overall championship. It seems an additional "playoff" game would be necessary.

Agree.

Div. A #1 vs. Div. B #1 (Additional Game)
Div. C #1 vs. Div. D #1 (Additional Game)

Which is why on one hand, adding Clemson would help us. We already have them on the schedule every year so we don't lose an OOC cupcake. On the other hand, the recruiting advantages that Clemson would get from being in the SEC probably will outweigh any scheduling advantage, which is why USC, UGA, and UF will stick together to keep Clemson, FSU, and GT out.

Plus, if these realignments continue to follow the trend, quality of the team doesn't matter as much as bringing in a theoretical TV market. Clemson can't really offer much there.

I understand what you're trying to accomplish, but those divisions don't make a lot of sense. Just try to stick with relative geography for the divisions (it still has problems because several teams can fit into multiple divisions). That will allow for the rivalries that people want to protect to remain intact, and it should distribute the power relatively evenly (I'm taking history into consideration in addition to the current states of programs). Here's my thought:

North: Kentucky, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech.
South: Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, Mississippi
East: South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, NC State
West: LSU, A&M, Arkansas, Missouri
