ok. So since all have 1 loss vs the east teams, it now goes to the record vs the common best team in the division. Since all teams lost to each other, that's a wash.

So, it looks like after all of the tie breakers are still tied, it does go to the BCS ranking.

SEC was brutal this year, lots of beating up on each other amongst the top 6 or 7 teams.

i think SC, UF, UGA, Bama, LSU, and aTm would all give Notre Dame a good game in the NC. back to back 10-2 seasons and nothing to hang in WIlly B really sucks though.

I think that if we beat LSU, then Florida is in the SEC championship right now. I can't think Florida would be in the same position they are now.

Remember Georgia has beat no one outside of a sloppy win against Florida. Florida's resume would be so much stronger than Georgia, and I think they are the higher ranked team.

We would have Florida's ranking and Florida would be one spot behind us. Georgia would be right where they are now. Remember, going into the LSU game, Florida was ranked one spot behind us at #4. So it wouldn't have mattered for us anyway, Georgia would have the highest ranking and therefor would go to the SECCG anyway. We should've just beaten Florida and not have to worry about it.

We would likely be in the same situation, assuming we leave the UF game the way it was. The reason is the way we lost to Florida. Georgia would be 3, UF would be 4, and we would probably be 5 or 6 (thanks Oregon). The three way tie-breaker in the SEC is complicated.

1: Highest team in the BCS standings UNLESS the second highest team is within 5 places of the highest team, at which point head-to-head between the two highest decides the tie-breaker.

This means we would have been eliminated and UGA would have gone based on its win against UF. Ultimately in hindsight, the LSU game probably had no effect on the season other than our ranking compared to TAMU and LSU (and the physical toll it took).

The only way the Gamecocks would be playing Bama with the LSU win is Florida would have to have the worst BCS ranking between SC/FL/GA. If Gamecocks had the highest ranking and FL was 2nd FL would still have won since they beat Gamecocks.
