He's a pretty decent player and tries hard, but man he has an UGLY shot. Most of his points are within 3 ft of the basket.

I agree totally. This staff has found a way to utilize Jackson's talents. He seems like a Frank Martin type of player. He plays with a lot of energy and hustle and he's pretty athletic to boot.

That is where they should be. I cringe every time he pulls up from 8+ feet

all due respect. it's a bit early to be talking stats compared to full seasons...but i do think he will be more productive than years past

It's sad how bad coaching can ruin a recruit. Lakeem's been used terribly the last two seasons and you could always tell he looked demotivated. He could've been a big player for this team if Horn figured a way to use him better.

Glad to see him upbeat though and producing on both sides.

Coach Martin is letting Lakeem do what he does best and is not trying to make him have a role he is not comfortable with. I really like Lakeem's game, and though I don't know him personally, I like what I have seen of his personality.

I heard Coach Martin say that Coach Underwood was working with Lakeem on his FT, and that Lakeem made 10 in a row the other day after practice. Martin said Lakeem's FT difficulties were mental, not mechanical. I would really love to see him conquer whatever it is that is keeping him from making FT. I like Lakeem.
