Lou Holtz and David Pollack going at it talking about our game on ESPN.
Lou was telling David "35-7 against your old team?" it was funny ![]() they also took a jab at our basketball team when mentioning that bruce had stepped up at WR, but was playing basketball (and needed him )then they talk about LSU vs Clemson, and Mark May states Clemson is not physical at all ![]()

All three guys liked us and showed respect for several players aside of Clowney. Ace, Bruce and Dylan and Connor all got mentioned, but I did not hear Connor's name, only that he has been playing injured.

We are so happy to get a class team like Michigan. Northwestern had been mentioned, so we are glad to get Michigan blue. It will be fun.

Jesse Palmer also did his homework: he mentioned the effectiveness of both DT and Chaz sutton as well

This is true. The SEC forced the Cap one bowl's hand. I am a bit surprised but the SEC really loves the Dogs. I love our match up. Already being touted as one of the best games in the bowl season. |

Quick rundown of our team for those of you who aren't familiar.
QB: Denard has a nerve injury that prevents him from gripping the ball with his throwing hand. So he is exclusively a runner/short pass catcher now. It has lingered for over 5 weeks now, so who knows if it will be better by New Years (my money's on no). Our backup, Devin Gardner, is nobody to take lightly. 5 Star recruit in 2009, spent most of his career backing up Denard (even taking snaps at WR this year). He has started 4 games so far and he has been better than anything we could have hoped for, boasting a QB rating of 177.6 in those 4 games. He is your more typical dual threat QB (who can run and ACTUALLY throw the ball, unlike Denard) RB: Nothing to speak of here. Honestly. Fitzgerald Touissaint, our starter, went down with a gruesome injury that could almost rival Lattimore's injury. Our backups suck. Bad. They couldn't even get yards against the likes of UMass, for god sakes. WR: Roy Roundtree is your typical possession guy, and Jeremy Gallon is our tiny (~5'10) speedster and surprisingly our best long ball threat too TE: Devin Funchess -- true freshman has been an absolute beast. Best hands i've ever seen on a TE. Look for him on any red zone possessions OL: average at best, after our LT Taylor Lewan. They will likely get manhandled by your line Defense: Very solid all around. D Line is not stellar, but our linebackers and backfield are the best units I've seen since 2006 Jake Ryan is the dude who looks like Clay Matthews, and you will see him all over the field. Jordan Kovacs is our 4th year starting SS, also except to always see him by the ball on every play. |

well the stat that should stick out more than any other is the strength of schedule. mich is ranked at 35, while usc is 10. that tells the whole story, and is the biggest reason usc is killing clempscum these days. being battle tested is everything!
mich will lose to us for the exact same reason clempscum did, because they will be shellshocked by the middle of the third quarter, and gassed in the fourth. usc is use to playing much stronger and better teams all season long, and it will show up in this game just like it did against clempscum. and for the record clempscum's offense is much better than mich, and with many more weapons. we all saw how that turned out...

Let's hope we show up this bowl game.
Remember the last time we were in Tampa...yea, Shonn Greene made us look like under shit. We can't sleep on Michigan....USC clearly has more athletes, but if we slack off, we could see an Iowa repeat.

As long as we show up, we win this game. I think Spurrier enjoys playing traditional powers in bowl games, ala Nebraska last year, so I trust we'll be prepared. Ain't scared.

Right on! Opponent is not everything, but it sure helps enthusiasm. Imagine being a Fla State fan and having to get excited for North Illinois. Sure BCS but really? I am thrilled with Denard Robinson and UM matchup. Wish I could go but travel budget won't allow it (went to both LSU and UF games). Home it is but I will yell loud enough they can hear me in Tampa from Charlotte!! ![]()
