Miles has something that most people don't, and thats heart. He cares more than pretty much anybody, and it shows. I'd rather have 1 year of Mark Ingram followed by 1 year of Trent Richardson, followed by 1 year of Isiah Crowell, followed by 1 year of Todd Gurley To be honest. But that is not realisitic.

The coaching staff needs to push for this kid. He's a dual threat. He can play both receiver and corner, which would be a win win since JaQuay is going to A&M and Langley is heading to UGAY.

That's why I feel recruiting is way too overhyped today. I want a kid to take all his visits and feel like he made the best decision to play at USC. If a kid has a 'what if' in his mind, then his commitment to the team will reflect that.

I like to fill classes early, but in my mind nothing is final until they get through spring practice.

Having two top-notch running backs is a good thing, but not in the same class. Playing time and carries are a big consideration for the backs who see themselves as NFL bound. Lattimore and Miles both have attitides that have us somewhat spoiled, but backs with a hint of selfishness can be a problem for a team that runs on team spirit and accountability. I think we wisely shut down recruiting in key areas where the coaches see us as loaded, and wisely are bringing in 4-5 OL prospects each year (with the hope of one or two becoming top linemen). Clemson has recruited the big stars at skill positions and watched us beat them in the trenches for 4 years in a row. I think recruits generally trust our coaches, and aren't afraid of deals being made that undermine their good faith. A last-minute surprise can happen anywhere, but I think our coaches are shrewdly looking at more than stars.
