mac has marketed better and people are like sheep. you can herd them and direct them with ease. ipads are just plain impractical for business use. windows desktops are the standard..some laptops are also sufficient, depending on the technicality of work.

What do most people use their computers for? Browsing the internet and word processing. If people ever figure out that you can easily do these things on a PC, and upgrade every two years cheaper than you can upgrade a comparable Mac every 4, Apple is going to have to seriously rethink its business model.

I mean really. I got my laptop for 7 or 8 hundred bucks. A macbook pro with the same screen and specs would have cost me at least 2 grand. At least 99% of my time on the computer is spent in Mozilla Firefox. Other than being unable to play league of legends, my life would be no different if I got the macbook, only I would be over a grand poorer.

Huh? My business uses iPads in the field. We can access reports, present to clients, upload docs to the home office, and play mindless games. We sync our iPhones via cloud as well, and it's super productive for us.

Except there are now a number of different APPS that allow you to use it more for various business applications.

I don't know enough about it to give you an answer. I bought a new laptop a couple of weeks ago and it is very confusing. I think it gives you the ability to run various platforms at the same time......but I just don't know enough about it yet.

Umm, what?!?! I have been working for 3 and a half years out in the field, we have used a PC for the entirety, except for the time my team tested the feasibility of iPads to replace computers. iPads won unanimous approval from us, despite the system being a prototype and the personal computers being established for a decade. If I could I would discus throw my laptop off my porch if it meant I could switch work wise to an iPad. I was so anti apple for the longest time, but next to me is my iPad and I am typing this on my iPhone.

This is an over exaggeration

Microsoft is nowhere near as big and powerful as they were a decade ago. Part of that is because people always want something different etc and part of that is because the competition has genuinely stepped it's game up.

I can see the argument that MS is in trouble of not being leaps and bounds more powerful and important then others but to suggest the company is nearing the end is ridiculous.

FWIW, I think MS got us here and Apple and Google will take us further. Then of course someone else will come along and push those two back down a peg.

Microsoft (PC) is Nintendo (in gaming). There will always be a market for them, they will always be respected for their contributions and they will continue to exist but they won't always necessarily be the rage with the majority.
