I was actually joking about the gifts for PapaJohns.com bowl....they stopped sponsoring bowls a few years ago. I think after our appearance lol.....

I really don't blame them for dropping it! Sad when you can only provide you product for 15 mins...


I don't know about yall, but if i was in my 20s, playing football, and going to a bowl, id be excited about any gifts!

During the summer didn't SOS say that we should give football players a couple of hundred dollars a game stipend to help them with transportation to get their Mom to the game or to take their girl friend out to dinner? NCAA types and others said that would be terrible and ruin the integrity of the game.

But bowl game gift cards are cool. What's the difference?

They do get per diem for their time. As do the student athletic trainers, etc. It's not much but it's mostly used as meal money on trips.
