They're fixing it

I'm sure most of you have seen the report about bowl bound grad rates and such, and know that the info about our school was incorrect. I sent a couple of e-mails, and it looks like they are going to fix it.

"Good Afternoon sandstorm2001 (took out my actual name),

I apologize for my delayed response in regards to the inaccurate APR and GSR information released on the University of South Carolina's Football team. All information has been recollected and I can confirm the USC data was incorrect. We have made changes to the report to show:


966 APR
55 GSR Overall Football Student-Athlete
45 GSR African-American Student-Athlete
80 GSR White Football Student-Athlete
78 GSR Overall Student-Athlete


Please accept my sincere apologies on behalf of The Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport for the oversight in reviewing and releasing inaccurate data. This error was not intended and we have been diligently working to rectify the situation.


We will be rereleasing the study today and reporting on our errors. While this will not makeup for the initial wrongdoing on our part, we hope it will provide some reparation.

I mean I saw that it was incorrect through links and info posted by various people on the board. Whether or not I was the only person that took the time to e-mail the people from Central Florida to let them know they got it wrong I don't know. As far as I've seen nobody else sent them anything, but it's absolutely possible.

Well, hopefully, the P&C will do it with a giant headline on the front page and not bury it where no one can see that they did no investigative research and printed erroneous info with a dramatic, negative headline.
