I'm glad this is finally going to happen. I've been timid to spend any money on anything Xbox 360 related recently.

Probably. They didn't shaft their users on the backwards compatibility like some other manufacturers I know. I might be switching over in this generation, but I'm not buying it until whatever RLOD or similar manufacturing defect due to outsourced crap contract manufacturing has time to rear its head and get fixed. You would think some american company would say, hmm it costs me a little more to make it myself, but you know what, I get to control whether it is a piece of chinese made shiz or not and that might have some long term value too.

You can't? Are you sure? I thought there was a restricted list but most xbox games could be played on 360. Anyhow, I'm going to play battlefield 4 on my xbox 720.

This means it will be 2015 before I can afford to actually buy the thing. I wonder what the starting MSRP will be. I've always been a Playstation user so I will wait and see what the PS4 will be before I pull the gun. I am happy with the current generation. I know the XBOX is maxxed out, but I think the PS3 hasn't been fully tapped yet.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see. The ps3 was like a no brainer when i got it because it was a fair price for the quality of blu ray player it was. It was like getting a free gaming and streaming system included with your good blu ray player.

Can't wait! I hope both MS and Sony get a huge title or two set for launch. I wonder if COD will be ready for next generation next year. I'm betting both will launch around $400 - $500 for the ultimate versions.

Microsoft can make good consoles, but they are all about the $ and they wouldn't let people play games on it that are cheap

eh.. they also want to compete and get an edge on sony..


so I could see it.. otherwise they'd lose a lot of support. Or at least it would be easier to break off from xbox if you can't play your games on the new system.
