Well the scouts seem to love him, and he is very very mature for his age. I guess he has decided to make basketball his life already, so maybe projecting him as a one and done is not all that crazy. I'm still skeptical, but I'll roll with these assessments. One thing is for sure. He would probably be the biggest recruit of all-time for USC bball. It would nice to have that star power to bring the fans in. Going to be hard to keep him away from UK, Duke, or UNC. At least we have the right kind of coach to get him here, if he's interested.

Of course with him in our backyard would help, but its still very hard to imagine him wearing any color other than some shade of blue on the court.

He led his varsity team in PPG, RPG, and assists as an 8th as well as being the only 8th grader invited to the team USA camp. In the highlights he is in the 8th grade playing on an elite AAU team scoring at will, controling the floor on both ends, rebounding, passing....we are not watching the same thing...barring injury and growing too much too fast he will be a very, very good basketball player regardless.

Frank Martin was not the coach then, the signing of Thornwell and commitment of Stroman will lead to huge things for the USC basketball program in my opinion. Leak, Dozier, Stroman, Woods.... Wish Martin had been here a year earlier to get a shot at Brice Johnson.

That's good news, but if he takes a visit to UK or Duke and secures offers from that kind of program, do you think he'd pass it up to play here? If so, then we've got something serious brewing in Gamecock basketball. I'll wait and see where he visits and what he starts saying after that. It does look good for us if he says positive things about us in recruiting articles.

hes been asked if he thought those type of offers would affect him and he responded "id like to think not, but im not sure"

It appears that Hyman/Tanner pulled the trigger on a top notch Basketball coach at the right time with the talent in the SC pipeline, future looks bright but alot of work ahead. I'm curious about his teammate Xavier McDanial???Anyone???

Tanner? Martin started in March and Hyman left in June...
