Frosh QB from Dillon. He led them to a state championship after becoming a starter in the last regular season game.

USC offered today.

Article on GCC says his mom went to USC. A poster on GCC said his first cousin is Kwinton Smith.

Long time before his recruiting really begins but obviously he is a very talented kid.

This kid is a big time Prospect. Reminds me of a bigger Everett Golson as he is only 14 yrs old and already 6"0" 180 lbs.

Watched him play vs Timberland in the Lower State Finals. Went to check out our commitments and was really impressed by the Dillon QB, had no idea who he was. He threw for 250+ yards, 3TDP as Dillon demolished Timberland to advance to state.

Found out in the paper the next day Avery was only in the 9th grade. Kid showed great poise, looked natural and delivered the ball well. Footwork and mechanics will only get better as he develops. Already has a strong arm and reminds me of Randall Cunningham with his delivery.

Avery has the potential, mindset and talent to be one of the best QBs to emerge from the state of South Carolina. Can't wait to see him in camps this spring and summer.

This kid still has 2-3 years of growing left. If he has K Smiths genes, he could be a monster of a QB by senior year.

He has a very good qb coach at Dillon to so i expect him to continue to grow as a player. Seems like we're starting a pipeline from Dillon to Cola. Good idea.

sites that say this kid has huge potential.....said he threw an absolute rope about 30 yards over the middle on a post route last weekend. Just think, Connor Mitch will have graduated by the time Avery comes to Columbia.

No.. he would be a freshman when connor was a redshirt junior

Dillon freshman quarterback Avery McCall Thursday picked up his second offer from USC. He was offered earlier by East Carolina. USC recruiter Shawn Elliott passed on word of the offer to Dillon coach Jackie Hayes. "He came by to see (DJ) Park and (Bryce) King and he said, 'by the way, tell your quarterback we've got a place for him.'" Hayes proceeded to tell McCall during weight training later in the day. "He seemed pretty excited,' Hayes said. "He's only 14 years old. He doesn't really know what's going on." McCall was the junior varsity quarterback and didn't make his first varsity start until the 10th game of the season. He finished the varsity season with 1100 passing yards and 13 touchdowns and completed 71% of his attempts.

Dillon freshman QB Avery McCall now has four offers according to his coach Jackie Hayes. His offers are USC, East Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee.

Hmm, maybe the only chance I will ever get to see the name McCall on a Gamecock jersey. I say go for him.

He doesn't exactly have the ideal height for a quarterback, but McCall flashed quite a bit of potential on Saturday. He has early offers from South Carolina and East Carolina, and it will be interesting to see if he stays at quarterback. He can also do damage running the ball, and he showed nice footwork during drills.
