Not sure if it's still available, but Hotwire had a 3.5 star hotel in East Tampa/Brandon area (about 15 minutes from Ybor City, prob like 20 minutes to downtown or Stadium I'd guess) for $46/night. Did some research and pretty sure that it's the Sheraton. Much nicer than the Hojo for $20 cheaper. I was going to reserve it, but my uncle called me and told me that he had a 3 bedroom condo at a Wyndham Resort outside Orlando that he wouldn't be using, so I'm staying there.

It is across the street from Mons Venus and next to 2001 Odyssey, if you get my drift.

I AM A LIFELONG RESIDENT OF TAMPA.IMO THE HOTELS AROUND THE STADIUM ARE SUBPAR AND ITS HONESTLY NOT THE BEST OF AREAS.IF YOUR NOT AT THE AIRPORT OR IN DOWNTOWN,I RECOMMEND YOU STAY OUT A LITTLE AWAY FROM THE STADIUM.BRANDON,NEW TAMPA,ARE REALLY NICE AREAS AND ARE WITHIN A 30 MINUTE DRIVE OF THE STADIUM.ON THE PINELLAS COUNTY SIDE,ANYWHERE ON THE BEACH IS NICE AND ONLY A 30-40MIN DRIVE.THE I-4/I-75 INTERCHANGE IS ONLY 20MINS FROM THE STADIUM.SO ANYWHERE ON I-75 OR ON I-4 WEST OF I-75 IS NOT FAR EITHER.
AS FAR AS DINING....THERE ARE SOME AWESOME RESTAURANTS IN SOUTH TAMPA IN WHAT LOCALS CALL THE "SOHO DISTRICT" IF YOU LIKE TO EAT AT NON-CHAIN RESTAURANTS...

Me,my son,and my buddy with his son got the HOJO on N. Dale mabry also ! Short walk to the stadium,longhorn on one side and 2001 oddyssey on the other ! Gonna be fun ! Lol
