Carson, Wilds, and Davis should be a RB by committee each has their own strenghts and weakness depending on the situation plus it keeps everyone fresh.

Right now he is at best a 4th rounder he needs to come back get a redshirt next season, if he 100% burn the redshirt let him play then he will go pro. Going this year is absolutely the worst thing he can do.

Until there is evidence stating that lattimore is going pro, which there isn't, then I fully expect to see him in a gameock uniform for one last year

Running Backs are one of the most abused positions on the field. I see absolutely no problem with equal time between 2 or even 3 competent backs, in fact, I believe you should split time between at least 2.

I know one player in particular that was told by lattimore himself that the chances of coming back were slim next season and that he would try to make his comeback in the nfl. Whether or not his mind changes between now & that time we'll see. The motto between him and Corey Miller at byrnes was always "League in 3" & I think injury or not it was inevitable he was going to the nfl.

If you compare their size, speed and running styles, it is spooky how similar Brandon is to Marcus except that he is faster than Marcus has been. Because of his injury, Brandon has been a forgotten man and we need to bring him to the forefront of our discussions for 2013.
Yes, he needs to work on his blocking, but so does Davis. Wilds has that horizontal lean that Marcus damn near patented. Few other running backs do that naturally or at the right times. Wilds does. I believe that Brandon has a slightly longer stride than Marcus, which helps him make good yardage when he has to fight for it. Davis is a freaking Tazmanian Devil who has an amazing leg churn. I'm telling you, his nickname will be "Taz" before he graduates from USC. His burst is what will also make him a big time producer... if we provide holes and give him lanes. His yardage after contact is going to be awesome, but so will Wilds'. Wilds has size over Davis, and in the final analysis, Coach is going to lean towards giving the heaviest duty to Wilds for this reason. They are both excellent running backs. Now add in Carson, Salley and the rest and you have a well-stocked kick-ass running stable.

Lmao. "Worst thing he can do"??? Really? I don't understand how 2 years of 4th round money, no coursework, full dedication to rehabbing with a pro team, and a guaranteed shot in the nfl is worse than getting nothing to come back, split time between rehab and school, with a college staff, so that maybe he can get drafted higher in 2 years...with the ever looming uncertainty of being 1 injury away from never playing again. |

Latti is gonna redshirt next season and will be back in 2014. Hopefully by then we will have a great complement back so he won't get reinjured. I never imagined him leaving early. He loves it in College too much.

sorry to be the prick here, but i haven't read sooooooo much bullshit in one thread in a long, long while. so many people on here posting absolute bullshit! it has been asked several times for people to STOP saying marcus is going pro. but so many of you, who claim to love him, continue to do it. why? doesn't sound like you love him, sounds like you love your own mouths! until marcus changes what he said at his birthday party, or puts out a direct statement, STFU about it.
next, with the amount of talent, size, strength and speed of our rb stable for next season, saying anyone will be the uncontested leader is as moronic a statement as can be made. so try putting your brains in gear, before touching your keyboards. lastly, imo, wilds is an excellent rb. i think davis is an excellent back as well. but i think carson is a superior back. for all those saying he won't get any carries in the bowl game, or who will get what amount of carries in the 13' season... you don't know crap! the carries will be dictated by the practices and games, and can change quickly. preinjury, carson was the more talented rb, and he proved it. if he is all the way back, i believe he will prove it again. jmho.

next year will feature our strongest running game yet.
we'll have Wilds (power) Davis (speed, power) and Carson (speed) and Shaw. we return 4 of our 5 o-linemen plus Buster Anderson, Rainey and Adams at TE and all 3 are very good blocking TE's. plus we will have a big threat on the outside at WR with Sanders, Ellington, Roland and the guys that redshirted this year. Should be the best Spurrier offense we've seen.

What team is going to draft a RB who has yet to play a full college season without a major injury higher than the 3rd round? None, RBs are way too expendable now in the NFL teams are not going to invest that kind of money into a position who's career span is 4 years. He has to make 100% sure that knee is completely healed, then go pro we all know he can rebound back he did it before, he will do it again. Business sense for an NFL franchise to take that big of risk just doesn't make sense.
