He won 2 state decathalons, and he didn't compete in the distance running section of the decathalon, so he won them doing only 9 events.

I closed my eyes when I saw it coming.

To this day, I cannot watch the replay of that injury.

It is not gruesome at all.

And on the flip side, I can watch the LT/Theisman play without any emotion.

But just thinking about the Bo injury still makes my stomach churn.

I think the only other injury that has affect me (as a fan) in that way was Marcus' injury this year.

Deion Sanders was one of my favorite athletes of all time and was electric.

He played for two of my favorite teams (Braves and Cowboys).

But Primetime was not as good as Bo Jackson

Herschel Walker was not as good as Bo when you think about the college and pro level.

I never saw Jackie Robinson play but I know he was a great baseball player. Still, I do not know if he was the athlete that Bo was across sports.

I would think Jim Thorpe is on his level.

And maybe Jim Brown.

But that is about it.

Herschel was better on the college and pro level and was also more durable at both levels. Go back and look at Bo's numbers not the legend for Bo's baseball, Herschel competed at track,bobsled,and mma at the highest levels. Jackie Robinson was a 4 sport lettermen at UCLA Football,baseball,basketball and track. Deion is a HOF football player at his position in football and was equal in baseball or just slight under in baseball power numbers Bo was better but everything else Deion was as good or better. Jim Thorpe was world class during his time in about 8 sports.

Bo Jackson YPC is almost 2 yards more than Walker's, AND he played behind Marcus Allen his entire career.

Deion was a freak. Remember in 87 during the metro conference tournaments he ran the 4x100 relay winning the title for fsu in between games of a baseball douleheader at sarge frye. He is won. 3 state basketball titles. Was the best corner ever in the nfl. But the power bo had was unimaginable when running the ball or hitting a baseball

Walker was a football player who went bobsled later. Bo Jackson played BOTH football and baseball at the same time and did exceptionally at them. Yes, Sanders played in both a Super Bowl and and a World Series, and has some baseball superlatives. However, Jackson dominated in both. No doubt had he stayed healthy there would be no question as to who was better.

Although I liked this 30 for 30, I wished they would have interview someone that was with Tampa Bay to ask them their side of what happened.

Who set up the visit?

I do not remember who Bo said told him it was okay but I would try to find that person if they are still alive and see what they had to say.

I am sure it would be a rebuttal of Bo's story but still it would be interesting to get their side to events.

I would also be interested in hearing more about how the Royals organization reacted to Bo going to football as an offseason hobby. Did they have much reservations about him getting hurt in such a dangerous sport? Did they try to talk him out of it?

But this is all nitpicky stuff for an otherwise good doc.

Walker was on the bobsled team in 1992 he retired from the NFL in 1997 he literally walked off the NFL field and into the Olympics in 2.5 months

A couple not mentioned - the one on Gretzky - "Kings Ransom" and the day OJ Simpson did the Bronco chase and all that was going on in sports that day was really interesting - "July 17th, 1994". There was also one on Len Bias - very sad to watch.

Was is and always will be my favorite BB player. First to beat NC in the then new Dean Dome. Would have carried on the Celtic dynasty. Some people forget just how great he was and Jordan would not have won as many titles if he had Bias to go against. I know exactly where I was when I heard he died and cried. He was a pioneer in the popularity of college basketball to this day. Just wish he would have made smarter decision and not partied that night. We missed out on the next Bird/Magic rivalry when Len Bias passed away. Jordan/Bias. That would have been epic!
