Yeah no cupcake like georgia has had the last two years, west teams I mean. LSU and Florida back to back really delt us a blow physically. If those games were separated by an out of conference game or bye week then we may still have lost to LSU but we would not have lost to florida, at least not the manner in which we lost it. LSU knocked us around. Playing teams like that on the road back to back would be difficult for any team, even the perceived powerhouses.

The whole playing injured thing is getting a bit tired. Either you are well enough to play and you play your best. Or you are injured and you recognize that it affects your ability to perform, you rest up/ heal and give someone else a shot.
This is not a shot at Connor. He played well. He played about the same as he did last year. He has happy feet and does not like to throw the designed play, Spurrier has said as much. Whether he was injured or not does not change that. He did it last year as well.

Wofford the whole team looked bad because its hard to get excited about playing Wofford. Games like that are just less interesting even for players, hard to avoid. To me if he wins that's the big thing, not how he looks while doing it. Hard to argue against Shaw's record, much harder than it is to argue against Thompson. |

Well it seems like the discussion has taken a turn toward a Connor vs DT as well as a Connor's numbers on the road were bad because he play tough teams. Here is the comparison between the with as well as a look at how they played against ranked (better) teams.
Overall (TD:INT): Connor: 2.1:1 DT: 4:1 Ranked vs Unranked (TD:INT) 2012 Connor: 2:1 (ranked) 2.2:1 (unranked) Difference +0.2 DT: 1.5:1 (ranked) 5:0 (unranked) Difference +3.5 Home vs Away (TD:INT) 2012 Connor: 2.75:1 (home) 1.333:1 (away) Difference -1.42 DT: 5:0 (home) 1.5:1 (away) Difference: ~-3.5 (cant divide by 0) So DT plays significantly better against unranked teams Connor plays about the same whether they are ranked or not (pretty damning for the connor played tougher teams on the road) Both play worse on the road, but DT plays much worse on the road. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dylan Thompson's numbers Home vs Away (2012) Overall 59/117 (50.4%) 910 yds 8 tds, 2 ints Rushing 35 on 32 carries 1 tds home 28/52 (53.8%) 517 yds 5 tds, 0 ints rushing 11 yds on 14 carries 1 tds away/neutral 31/65 (47.7%) 393yds, 3 tds, 2 ints rushing 21 yds on 21 carries 0tds 2012 Ranked vs Unranked teams Overall 59/117 (50.4%) 910 yds 8 tds, 2 ints Rushing 35 yds on 32 carries 1 tds Ranked 31/61 (50.8%) 393 yds 3 tds, 2 ints rushing 25 yds on 16 carries 0 tds Unranked 28/56 (50.0%) 517yds, 5 tds, 0 ints rushing 10 yds on 16 carries 1 tds |

I don't know how to measure who was better. The both had great games and they both had sub stellar performances. But I will say I watching Connor play is fun. As far as the Top 10 team thing, yes he played great against UGA. LSU he was good. UF... Three weeks straight, sure. But it was a decreasing trend.
