Just got through watching ESPN's (30 on 30) show and it was about Bo Jackson, who I think is one of the greatest athletes to ever play sports in our life time. Granted there could be a lot of talk about Jim Thorpe also as he was great in 3 different sports.
My question is this; Who do you think was the Best College Running Back and also account into your answer what this RB meant to his team. They all played in the late 70-s and 80's, so time wise they were close. I know that George played in a different conference with teammates that were not as good as the other two, but taking it all into account, who do you think was the The Best. I say that George Rogers was the Best as we were not much on throwing the football when he was playing for the Gamecocks and everybody in the stadium knew who was going to get the ball for us. What say you? |

Herschel was the best athlete! Look at his physical nature and the condition/shape he is for his age.

Not only is Jim Brown the best running back, he's also the best lacrosse player.

To me, the legacy is decided by the overall achievement. Hershel Walker had a great NFL career. George Rogers had a good one, but would have been much better if he hadn't gotten injured.

Ever I have to say Bo, Herschel or Barry.
Of my time, Adrian Peterson.

Barry Sanders takes the cake.
Billy Sims got screwed over to by ending up in detroit. Injuries got him too. Sanders just did not like the limelight.

Never got the chance to see them play, before my time. My dad said, though, that Herschel Walker was the best football player he'd ever seen, but Bo was the best athlete out of all of them, and dad was a Georgia fan so that's pretty high praise.
