I know Spurrier is more laxidaxical than most coaching when it comes to recruiting, but I hope he hunkers down, and puts a couple more hours in every day. Staying in touch with the all the committments he has (Bryant should be on his speed dial) and going after other big named recruits more aggressively. Most figure Spurrier to be around another 4 or 5 years, and if so a lot of players from this class are going to be a key part of his team the rest of his career.

Also, does anyone else think an opportunity is missed every season by Spurrier not going to the Heisman ceremony? Other than a coaching resume more impressive than most anyone else, that is the one that he has over every other coach out there, proof that he knows what it takes to excel in college football because was a phenominal player as well. I would think most recruits would watch the ceremony every year and the big deal that is made of it 'of joining one of the most elite fraternities in all of sports'. And then to see a coach who is trying to recruit them up on that stage would have a big impact.

If it's true he was recruiting for us and that Dr Guy did the surgery on him........I don't know how Rolin can look at himself in the mirror after going back on his word. I know if I did something like that during a major event (being recruited) in my life, it would be something that I would never forget. But, that's me.

I'm mad right now and on an Internet message board. I could really care less what the Rolin family thinks of me because their son didn't think enough about how he was carrying himself.

Your point doesn't apply because he isn't coming here so why battle for the good graces of the Rolin family? Do they have another son who's a 4 star that I don't know about?

Having followed recruiting for years, we have all seen this time and again.

It's really very simple: If a "solid commit" takes visits after committing, he is not "solid," and he likely is not attending his committed school.

Whether it's Rolin or Langley or Nkim-whatever, these "kids" (which is a misnomer) need to hold off with the early commits unless they are going to be men of their word. They often treat their commitments like nothing more than going steady in high school. Hey, if they're still looking - fine. But, when you give your word, be man enough to honor it.

Yeah, his folks should have known better. They used us and got what they needed.

If our coaches are doing their job they will have this guy replaced with another badass LB by the end of the week.

No excuse for not having a top 10 class this year. NONE.

Guys im mad about it myself but hes a young kid and could change his mind again. With our fans on here taking jabs at him and talking trash about him wont help our cause. Lets not let it get to us as our staff knows what they are doing. If i recall they didnt need our vast knowledge of recruiting and coaching to dominate the SEC east the last few years and win like we never have.......We will be fine. When i see the coaches freak out then i will but for now i will be fine knowing we have an even better LB coming in, Bryant and the guys we have now, not to mention Gerald Turner and others........We'll be fine with him, we'll be fine without him. Lets just try to stay classy especially towards his family who are USC alumin.....Im sure they want him to decide for himself but would have rather he go to USC. They cant choose for him.

Time to put the full court press on Yannick Ngakoue then. South Carolina is easily the most attractive and promising program that he is 'High' on. Maryland, Miami, Tennessee, West Virginia being the others.

Because repping SC so hard and then going back on his word and then having your brother rip Carolina fans on twitter is "classy"? I don't care where his parents went. Their son obviously didn't.
