Because a decommiment is a decommitment at the end of the day. That's the only relevant parallel that matters when the recruit signs his LOI.

Well, the part that bothers me is his lack of loyalty. He tore up his knee, and SC's team doctor, Dr Guy performed the surgical repair. Then the kid ditches SC and runs off to Gainesville. He may end up lost in the depth chart at Florida.

Even with Clowney and Lattimore, we had to sweat out their commitments, all the way to the end. That's true even though we had a lot going for us in our favor with them. It makes me wonder if Florida fans were correct in their frequent criticism of Spurrier's recruiting and Spurrier's reputation of not liking to recruit. I know that the 3 Head Coaches who replaced Spurrier at Florida are all workaholics when it comes to recruiting and it shows in recruiting rankings.

I have to wonder about our former players feel after playing here, because hardly any of their kids end up being legacy players. I can understand not pushing your kid, but I seriously think these guys are pushing their kids away from Carolina behind closed doors.

Most are young men of their word. Others wait until the end and avoid this situation. Then some are just game players, i.e. Langley. Then there's Rolin.
