I know people are upset but c'mon he is a kid. Some of the comments on here are down right pathetic. I wanted him to come here too and if you would have asked me which recruit I would worry about least it would have been Rolin But some of you are acting no better than clemson fans. I think we can all agree we are above that.

What is awkward to me though is uf already has 2 LB's ranked higher than Rolin committed this year and they have a 2 Deep of 1/2 Freshmen and Soph's. While they play 3 LB's to our 2, I still think it will be harder to compete for a spot on their 2 Deep with the years of solid LB recruiting they have.

It is more about his character issues and the way he went about things. He is 17 years old and hardly a "kid". We can't treat these recruits as "kids" because look at how they take advantage of the whole recruiting system...they know exactly what they are doing.

Also, while Rolin did have his surgery and that hurt his favor...he is still a huge recruit with a lot of potential, so it was someone I was certainly excited about to join our team. Until today.

I agree that it shows poor character and even lack of commitment. But in that case shouldn't we be okay with this? I'm just saying calling names and such is not helpful at all and looks poorly on our fanbase. Not to mention if the coaches are trying to get him back and he looks at sites like this and twitter and facebook then none of that helps trying to get him back in the fold.

He isn't just a kid. I'm not mad as much as the flip itself, but I'm mad at how he did it.

Someone committed as long and as solid as Rolin was knew exactly what he was doing. He just showed some really terrible character, and he can't use the kid excuse.

I have never been overly critical of a recruit, but the way he handled this situation makes me sick. It is the kind of situation that turns me away from following recruiting very closely. He pulled one of the top two blindsides that that have pulled against the Gamecock football team in recent memory.
