im just so tired of seeing us get out recruited!! yes we are winning the most games we have ever won. and yes we have have landed 3 or 4 huge recruits. especially with clowney and latti, but could you imagine what spurrier could do with the talent that alabama or southern cal brings in every year!! It would be Florida in the 90's all over again. probably even better because i think our defense is better than the ones he use to have back then. idk thats just my thought. im so thankful for what he has done but i just dont want us to get satisfied with where we are! Wow. Can't believe everyone is reacting this way. Its not like this guy was going to come in and play anytime soon anyways and especially with his knee injury. Look, he is ranked as the 25th best OLB, weighs about 210 and runs a 4.8. Not sure why everyone is so upset as Bryant is better and would more than likely always be ahead of this guy. One thing I do agree with is that our coaches are getting boat raced in recruiting. Someone please wake me up when Botkin or Brown do anything to earn their paycheck.

Seriously - back to back 10 win seasons, 4 in a row over Clemson, and a record of 11-1 against UF, UFA, Clem, and Tenn the past 3 years.

Yet, we are still at a point where we are letting de-commitments from 2 18 year olds (while we are/were pulling for de-commits from the likes of Bryant/Wiggins) ruin our day and shake us to our core. Don't be hypocrites - will Bryant/Wiggins have no character if we can flip them? Be careful what you say about the guy leaving when the kid coming in the door may have done the exact same thing to someone else.

I don't like what Rolin did, but so what, he's not the first or last 18-year old to change his mind, think with his junk, get sold on false promises, etc.

To suggest that the coaches did something to lose him is ridiculous. Recruits should want to be a part of the schooland the oppoertunities provided there, not the fairytale the coaches can sell.

unfair or not, I still blame the coaches

This is the second big commit to switch on us and top 20 classes don't mean that much when there are 5-6 other teams in the SEC out-recruiting us every year. On a mildly related point, Spurrier drones on and on about locking down the borders of South Carolina. Well two of the top recruits from this state are going outside this state to play football next year. That, coupled with various other puzzling misses and losing a commit with strong family ties has me concerned about, and blaming, the coaches.

This is disappointing and seems to happen every year, although admittedly I thought this kid was solid. I don't get the Muschamp thing. Dude is off the charts nuts and a ticking time bomb emotionally. He did it with smoke and mirrors this year, an easy schedule and Meyer's historic recruiting class from a few years ago. He will not last at UF.

It's ONE player. Yes, he's a good player and yes, we want as many good players as we can get. But, he's not on the level of a Lattimore, Jeffrey, Gilmore, Clowney, Matthews, Ace, Swearinger, etc. He's a good player, not a game changer. We will be fine without him. Haha I was hoping you had some concrete proof. I'm a fairly new Gamecock so this is all very interesting to me. Guess he didn't want to compete with the crop of young LB's coming in. Who knows? Disappointed but not gonna lose sleep. We'll just have to make him regret this decision later. Agree with earlier post, room for Booker who could be the next Ace. Quick moves, strong and great hands. Get his grades up and we should jump on Akia. Just saw where Akia going to Georgia. Oh well, maybe we can flip him but doubt it.
