Actually one of the areas we have recruited better is just in terms of balanced classes. Spurrier's first few years we were getting these sexy Clemson classes that weren't strong in the trenches. Ever since the Hunt era ended we have focused more heavily on the trenches than in the past. I think Spurrier means that more than a player's star rating.

you got to remember star ratings dont mean ANYTHING. the coaching staff does not recruit players based on what Dick rates them over at rivals or espn. Its an evaluation process and weather or not the recruit will fit our style of play.

im sick and tired of hearing this crap about "we dont get enough 4 and 5 star guys florida and georgia have eay more than us cry cry cry". got news for you, they ALWAYS do get more 4 and 5 stars than us. how has that worked out for georgia the last 3 years? its about coaching bringing out the ability and teaching fundamentals to the raw talent. the work ethic and drive of the athlete has a big role as well. hell, if we are ranking teams by star talent, then clemson should be killing us. is that happening? hell NO.

we dont want players that are self centered attention whores, and for Roland to come out and say he was "disrespected" tells us all we need to kn ow about him. we want committed and loyal GAMECOCKS that will give for this program like Clowney and Lattimore and co. have done.

so if they want to go elsewhere, by all means haul ass. dont let the door hit you on the way out. we're gonna win with you or without you. ask spurrier. 30-9 the last 3 years.

Never say never.. Ok some time it is ok. But

LSU will blowout Clemson, Florida will have some trouble with Louisville... but the Gamecocks by far have the best opponent in a bowl outside of Alabama and Notre Dame in the National Title Game.
