"Take It All" Game Show

Did anyone watch this premiere tonight? Some of the dirtiest, grimiest, shady stuff I've ever seen in a game show.

I don't know if I have ever watched a game show and felt so much anger while feeling betrayal FOR the person I am watching on TV.

Okay, this is a new game show on NBC.

Basically the premise is this:

Through multiple rounds, a group of contestants select prizes one by one and can keep or take the next prize...sort of like a Chinese Christmas or whatever you may call it. The person with the lowest valued item at the end of the round is eliminated. They repeat this with more rounds and more expensive items until they are down to just 2 people...then they each draw a card with a VERY expensive ($200k+ item) inside they don't know about.

Well, down to a black lady and an old man who looked like Santa. They are face to face and have 2 options...and they get to discuss this, too- but each have to lock in their option. Options are "Take It All" (you get your prizes PLUS their stuff) or "Keep What You Have" (each person walks away with their share)...the catch is they BOTH have to select "Keep What You Have" for them to do so. If they both happen to select "Take It All", they both walk away empty handed.

Well, looking into each other's eyes...the black lady said she was skeptical of the old man for how he played the game earlier and took some items from people to eliminate them. She questioned his moral compass and wondered if she could trust him. He said he only did it to make it this far and talked about God and how he wants to help his family and students out. Seemed very sincere and honest. Both final contestants were teachers and he said they were of the same cloth and both probably struggled financially. He promised her he would select "Keep What You Have" so they could walk away winners.

When the reveal came, the damned black lady chose greed and shocked everyone by selecting "Take It All" while the old man who looked like Santa chose to share...thus, losing everything looking broken while the lady celebrated in his face.

It was horrible.

That was a good synopsis. The funny part was howie talked with this one girl about how much in would mean to her to win during the semi-finals(she has 8 siblings working an intern job...just finished law school. The next thing you know she's eliminated and he's celebrating with the last 2 while she's crying running off the stage.

I would do take it all every time. It's a no risk option and has higher rewards. If the other person picks take it all, you get nothing either way. Might as well have a shot at getting everything.

that is the absolute truth...

...however, my integrity is not for sale like the woman's last night. I would have no problem sleeping at night is someone screwed me out of a prize. Shows like this make me sick...they show the worst side of the human psyche. I would assume that these are all made already...otherwise after last night, there will never be a prize winner in the final round b/c of what you said. It would be nice if you could trust someone's word

Yeah! They would start with simple things and work up to asking if they like ever had an affair. While their spouse was IN THE AUDIENCE. It was awful.

Just looked it up. It was called "Moment of Truth" and only lasted like 6 months. This is an episode sped up. This chick like RUINED her marriage.
