We do need to get another superstar in the line of Alshon, Latt 21 and Clowney. There was not one in the last class. The closest thing was probably Jarrel Adams, but he didn't get to play a lot because Justice was a beast. I don't see one in this class either, at this point.

Really hoping we land this guy.. physically more ready for impact on the SEC level than Rolin, and we would have some fun packages with him and Bryant on the field at the same time (future). If we land him, I will feel 100x better about our LB corp next year (depth will be very important with so much youth)

Would be a upgrade over Rolin. He was hurt and was going to be a non factor. Our Coaches are sold on this kid as a LB and never were sold on Rolin being a LB.

More than that, he is better and bigger, and much different than our other high level LB recruit Bryant.. one of those guys who after being in an SEC S&C prog will be a 6'3/6'4 260 tank.. Rolin last I saw (been a while) was 6'4 200/210 right now.. I don't see him putting on 50+ pounds and not losing anything quickness wise

Not as fast to the ball as Rolin, but can do more damage once he's there. I'd like to see him against faster competition. Exciting prospect. Doesn't seem much different than Norwood at this stage. If he's willing to work, then come on down big fella. We need you.

Actually I believe Yannick is faster on the clock. One of the knocks on Rolin is his speed.

I know that there is some sensitivity surrounding our recruiters and what people perceive them to be doing or not doing, so I simply ask of those in the know, or gurus, what you think our staff could be doing BETTER. Or is there even room for doing recruiting better?

I don't intend this to be a bitch session, just a matter of fact accounting of what could be improved, or should be improved. Obviously most of us are not behind the scenes, and maybe we shouldn't even suggest a thread like this without the benefit of facts, but I know that some of you know!

Depends on what your expectations are. For people that think USC should be recruiting top 5-10 classes every year, well I'm going to keep saying it, it will not happen. Finishing between 15-20 on average with a year here and there where you strike big is realistic.

Interesting. From highights it looks to me like Rolin has a better first step at least, or maybe sheds blockers better. I do not doubt that Yanny has a better 40, but as far as getting to the ball, maybe Rolin has the edge so far. Don't get me wrong, I like Yannick too. You can't coach that size. We'll need someone to clean up the middle like Shaq did.

Yannick could really help us in the middle. On TBS they were saying he is already built like Reggie Bowens which is saying something.
