Rolin's injury I don't think will be a problem for him. He has plenty of time to recover, and I doubt he would play much right away even if he was healthy regardless no matter if he plays at USC or UF. Still I think Rolin's pass defense is out standing and gives him the edge over the other two, also I think that is something we lack a bit out of our linebackers, and have so for quite a while. Rolin was an important piece to the master plan we will just have to find a way to do without.

The depth is definitely what makes the difference. We've had it the past couple of years and its payed off. Maybe we should try to one-up of these other teams and start offering kids in the ninth grade. Other schools are offering in the 10th grade and for many of these kids its who offers first that stays the favorite.
I saw a stat a few months ago that listed the top one hundred HS players for the freshman class of 2014 and Saban had already offered 75 of them. |

He would start as a freshman for most schools; he's simply that good. Don't count Auburn totally out, either.

Would love to get him on campus and see if we could pull of the amazing and get him but i wont get my hopes up right now. Esp Bc he seems like a wild card in terms of what team he wants to play for.

Long story short it goes both ways and I'd say in the Spurrier era we are probably on the positive side of defections. They happen even with rock solid commits, nothing you can do about it because you can't tell the recruits to stop taking other calls even after a commitment.

I don't call a player decommitting then looking around as us taking them from another school. Damario Jeffery and Chris Payne committed to tater U then a day later backed off of those commitments. Hollowman decommitted after Bowden was fired. Davis was lied to. Ladi opened it backup after prep. Alshon would be the closest to the Rolin situation, but if Southern Cal were 2000 miles closer things would've probably been different.

Coach Spurrier will tell you that his players are the biggest recruiters. When recruits visit, they talk to current players. Latti, Gilmore, Devonte,Clowney, Shaw all speak volumes. Putting guys into the first few rounds of the NFL draft, like Mel, Gilmore, Alshon is tremendous for recruiting.
