Definitely drop in talent from the past 4 Mr. SC footballs :)
Gilmore, Latti, JD, were obviously all greatly more talented, but even Shaq was on a different level last year at this time than TT..

Put him in other years and he would hardly stand out. I don't even think he is ranked on rivals nationally (Roland was top 50 on almost every site, JD/Latti top 1/10). Not saying he is bad, this is just a weak year for top talent in SC. I don't see him being a big time player at UGA, they had like 5 WR commits including Rumph (whatever happened to us there?), and the QB position will be wide open after Murray. Regardless, SOS owns richt right now, so TT will be on the losing side to his SC brethen for years to come!!!

Maybe the reason we haven't done so well in homestate recruiting is that the talent level just isn't what it used to be. These things kind of fluctuate and we were lucky that we had the level of talent that was there for a few years and that we got them to come to USC. Georgia's football talent was down for a couple of years but it seems like it is on the way back up, so we should be recruiting there hard. I still find it hard to understand why South Carolina kids would want to go out of state. Maybe we should start offering kids in the ninth grade.
