I talked my nephew from the schoool today; and he said the kid was 14 years old during his freshman season as a starter. He confirmed Kelly has grown up as a Tater fan. Our domination of them recently could perhaps change things over the next few years. 40 time last week during spring camp was 4.61.

Ignore the 40 time. I talked to my nephew again and he seems confused....... 14 year old kids???????

If Clemson joins the WAC, we might be able to flip him if we start now. I like the unstable coaching situation in CU now. This kid might be 7' tall at 18, or he might not grow much more. Early puberty does that.

Maybe not his dad likes clemson but he will support his son where ever he goes not sure about the kid but the dad is straight up a great guy he played high school ball with my older brother. Abbeville is a 2A school again btw and has beaten Hart co GA and lincolnton the last couple years who are GA powers.

Kelly Bryant figures to be among the top prospects in South Carolina for the 2015 class.

The question is, which position will he play in college.

At Abbeville (S.C.), the 6-feet-3 1/2, 200-pounder is a quarterback. But at least one school projects him at receiver.

"I mainly like quarterback, but I'm open to playing any position," Bryant told 247Sports on Saturday at the VTO Sports Prep 100 camp at York Comprehensive High."

Right now, Bryant claims offers from in-state programs Clemson and South Carolina.

Clemson, where his cousin Martavis Bryant plays, likes him at receiver.

"I guess they like my body," Bryant said. "They've seen my film, and I run a lot. We're predominantly a running team so I don't get to pass much."

The Gamecocks are giving Bryant a look at quarterback, he said.

Bryant also has generated interest from colleges such as Auburn, Georgia and Georgia Tech. He said each thinks he could play quarterback in college.

"There are so many people that have said I can't [play quarterback], that it just gives me that extra drive," Bryant said.

According to Bryant, position is a big factor in which college he ultimately choose, but certainly won't be the only one. He said he will look at each program he considers closely to see where he'd be the best fit.

"There's a long time to think about it," Bryant said.

On Saturday, Bryant worked mostly at quarterback (he won the camp's dual-threat QB award), but did take a few snaps at receiver and was solid.

At this event last spring, 2014 quarterback Jacob Park of Goose Creek (S.C.) Stratford emerged with a strong showing. Now, he has a four-star ranking and a handful of offers. The year before, Caleb Rowe of Greer (S.C.) Blue Ridge impressed. He would later sign with Maryland.

In this camp, Bryant probably is the most well-known quarterback coming in. The 6-feet-3, 200-pound 2015 signal caller already claims offers from in-state schools Clemson and South Carolina.

He's a big and extremely athletic kid with a good arm. On film, Bryant, who is built like a linebacker, looks better running the ball than throwing it at this stage, but a private coach that works with him believes he can be a successful college quarterback.

The 6-feet-3 1/2-inch, 200-pound Bryant plays quarterback for his high school team and he said several colleges are recruiting him to play that position. He competed mostly at quarterback Saturday, and displayed good footwork and decision-making. However, he didn't have a great day spinning the ball, and needs to improve his mechanics. Taking a few snaps at receiver, it was easy to see why that's the spot at which Clemson likes him. He runs well, gets in and out of his breaks nicely and didn't have any drops. Clemson and South Carolina both have offered.
