The real issue might end up being money. What I mean is that Morris already makes a really good salary as a coordinator, so even if a school wants to hire him, they might realize they would have to offer him enough of an increase to make it worth his while. And with Morris's limited experience at the college level, schools might feel the salary necessary to pull Morris away from Clemson is too much. So it's possible Clemson may have screwed Morris out of a shot at a good HC position until he has been at this level for a couple more years. But if Morris's offense continues to struggle against legitimately good teams, all that will happen is tarnish his name and possibly reduce him to being a candidate for only mid-level jobs which might end up being a pay cut for him.

Would Sumlin come after Morris for the A&M offensive coordinator now.I know Morris has a buyout for a lateral move, but he is an A&M alum.

LaTech looks like the last train out of town.
If they hire as big of a "Nobody" as USF (and Morris did interview) then something is rotten with him..
ArkySt made a questionable hire also, but I am not sure Morris ever made a run at that job.

I looked up his buyout from Clemson and its 6.5 million.I don't believe A&M will pony up all that for just a coordinator.

It' a completely different offense.

Sumlin is a Leach guy, you would think he'd bring in someone with familiarity of that offense.

If they feel they have the dough to do it without putting a dent in their account, I think they might. The way some people talk on here, A&M has more money than Trump, Gates, Murdoch, and every top movie star put together.

Sumlin never coached with Leach. I guess though the connection could be made through Holgorsen who was at UH with him. Briles left UH before Sumlin got to Houston
