HOLY CRAP, no. He will (hopefully) make good money but that is an insane amount. (Let's say 75 million is a dream scenario. That includes real estate, investments, etc.)

As far as the "why", because he loves football and competing, would be my guess. That doesn't mean he will or wants to, but it's not insane to think that a former player goes into coaching is it? Spurrier, Harbaugh, etc. I don't think they're just doing it for the money.

I came up with that amount by the way I resume he will live his life and getting a huge contract that will top any deal any RB has ever secured. Things change very quickly in pro sports and anything is possible for the right player. Let's say he becomes the best all purpose back in the history of the NFL and he's in LA or NYC. He could make $100 mill through endorsements alone in four of five years. The NFL is getting more and more popular worldwide each year and that once that pipeline is secured(London and Mexico City to start), it will be a whole new ballgame.

Man, I feel sort of cheated not being able to see Marcus perform at his best the 3 years he was here. Darn those injuries!!!

I think we all knew this was coming. We wouldn't have been able to keep him past this year anyway because either way he'd declare for the 2013 draft.

I am old enough to have seen a few things and I can't tell you how important it is for fathers to be proud of sons. If you looked into SOS eyes during the presser you saw the kind of love and respect a father has for a son that has reached the pinacle of their relationship. I am sure Marcus father and step-father are proud of him but equally so is Coach Spurrier.
