As a matter of fact, I find Dabo's recruiting "abilities" a little creepy. He manipulates 18 year old boys to play in a weak ass conference. A lot of talent gets wasted up there. His "we're all best friends" coaching style is a disservice to the players. Then there's the speeding ticket video..... He's a punk.

Electric - I think he's referring to 2010...when Clemson finished 6-7. They won their division crowns in '09 and '11.

However, winning the SEC East w/ 3 conference losses has only happened 1 time since USC & Arky joined in 1992. We just got lucky with UGA & Florida being down that year.

But hey, we've got a Division Champs banner sooner than I thought we would.

Swinney's job should be secure as long as they maintain where they are at right now....yes, losing to USC annually is unacceptable, but as long as they only have to beat one team all season long (FSU) and they waltz into conf. championships and BCS bowl opportunities, they'll eat those losses and hope the trend reverses eventually.

Swinney is NOT like Cooper at Ohio State.....in Cooper's case, it was a double-whammy: both Mich. and OSU are in the same conference and typically were the only teams in the Big 10 with realistic shots at conference championships and beyond. If you lost to OSU, you lost much more than just a rivalry game, and Cooper came too soon after the Schembechler years where the expectations every year were not just to beat OSU but to contend for national titles.

Since USC is no longer an ACC foe, CU can still chase and realize their vapid, irrational dreams of being a national "elite" by winning ACC titles even losing regularly to the Gamecocks. Swinney has gotten that achieved as long as the other ACC football schools (FSU, GT, VT, Miami) continue to flounder....
