Bryce Sherman

Well, browsing through twitter I see his new team, WSSU, is playing for their divisions National Championship. Bryce was one of my favorite Gamecocks, I think he'd have had a good career if they'd have kept him as a receiver instead of pulling his Scholly. Regardless, his team is playing today. He's also still doing community work, too. He was recently in an elementary school reading to the children. Figured I'd update everyone on his status. Good luck in the national championship Bryce!

Awesome...and interesting. They are 14-0 and play Valdosta St today for the title game.

I noticed Albert Ashcraft was on their roster....we was a RB on our team in '04-'05 but never played. He must have somehow gotten eligibility restored...and has to be 26-27 yrs old.

Yea, I think there were more scholly's that could have been pulled besides his. He could have helped more than some I will not mention.

It looks like he is getting a lot more playing time there than he would have here. The scholarship would have been a nice, emotional plug, but I am sure he would rather play on the field.

They had moved him to wide receiver, now, granted he's 5'4", I still think he could have had an impact.

If you were to define good career I would have to either disagree with your definition or disagree with the notion that Sherman would have had one.

He couldn't have done any worse than our 300 yard receivers. But apparently the guy can't have a good career, when I say good career I mean on and off the field.

In 13 games where he is now he has just under 400 yards rushing+receiving. You think he would have gotten 300 yards here? Who are you taking off the field to put him out there? I'd be surprised if he got more than one or touches a game, if that, and IF he got 2 touches a game he'd have to average 12.5 yards a play, which I doubt would have happened. In 2009 he had 10 touches here with an average of 10.5 yards a touch, and in 2010 he had two touches for -2 yards, averaging -1 yard per touch.

I'm sure he's a great guy and all, but he's not an SEC football player, or he would be tearing apart the lower ranks of CFB.
