I don't mind the blue turf at Boise St. Obviously, I like red. However, this field hurts my eyes.

Follows the whole "cool color, warm color" principle. Blue is a cool color, it's easier on the eyes. Kinda like the bluer HID car headlights being brighter, yet less stressful on the eyes than the regular yellow-tinted lights. Red is a warm color, it's interpreted as more bold, almost a more aggressive color. Thats why most sports cars you see (Mustang, Vette, Ferrari, etc) are red. Only downside is the vibrant nature of the color being more stressful to stare at.

...yeah, inner art-nerd in the house.
