You don't go by stars...you go by if the players you bring in fit what you are trying to do.

Instance...the top DT in the country is a 330 lb nose tackle who excels in a 3-4...if you run a 4-3, you probably don't want him, if say the No. 10 DT is say 270, but has good fundamentals, some good talent, and plays in a 4-3.

The players in this class fit our system....you judge recruiting by first...did you get the best out of your state...then, did the guys you bring in fit your system...then, did you get one or two special players.

IF you get the first two, you are doing well in recruiting...if you hit the final remark, then you are having an excellent recruiting.

I get what you're saying but if the no.1 DT came knocking on our door we would take him.

DB Shaq Wiggins of Tyrone, GA remains committed to Georgia "100 percent" but will take four more official visits to include USC. "I'm going there in mid-January but I don't remember the date," Wiggins said. "My ESPN recruiting file has all of my visits days there." According to the site, he will visit USC January 11th, Florida the 18th, Ole Miss the 25th and Texas A&M February 1st. Wiggins continues to hear from these four schools but says USC is showing the most interest. "They're recruiting me the hardest," he said. "They've come by to visit me in the last few weeks and they were at my state championship game yesterday. That means something." Lorenzo Ward visited Wiggins at his school and talked to him about the program. "He told me how I would fit into their defense," he said. "It's a great situation there for me. Knowing their coaches and their histories is something to look at." Wiggins is strongly committed to Georgia and has already taken his official visit to Athens. He says he is taking the other four visits, "just to make sure."

USC was the leader for WR Corey Cooper of Raleigh back in early April. But he visited Louisville and later committed to the Cardinals in July. "I visited Louisville and at the time I thought it was a beautiful place and the coaches were unbelievable," Cooper said. "But Louisville is too far. It's 10 hours away." So, Cooper decommitted from Louisville last week. Saturday he talked with USC recruiters Joe Robinson and GA Mangus and learned his offer is still on the table. "They were about to go into a meeting so we'll talk more this week," Cooper said. "We just talked about my visit and they said they would love to have me. They don't have any receiver commitments so if I commit I would be the first." Cooper will take an official visit to USC and it likely will take place on the Gamecocks' major recruiting weekend of January 18th. He said he will also look at North Carolina, NC State, East Carolina and Wake Forest and will visit each of them. He does not have a favorite at this point. Cooper finished his career as his school's all time leading receiver. This season he said he had about 500 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns.

Weighed in at 218 lbs during visit. The Staff expects him to play in the 225lb to 230lb range.

I don't think it's a no brainer that he will start (if we even get him). Coop and Kaiwan aren't giving up those starting spots, IMO.

I agree. I think those two are going to be the front runners. He should have a legit shot of being in the two deep.

I hear the coaching staff love those two and feel they will be an upgrade athletically from our prior LBs. Just don't have the experience yet. I have also heard good things about Holloman as far as being a very smart player to be so young. So it's not doom and gloom as some would believe.

Considering we will have 3 scholarship LBs in Spring, he automatically makes the 2 deep as long as he commits, at least until the frosh arrive.

We have been hit or miss with our JUCOs but when they get the chance to come in as EE's, it is a huge + in their development.

He has great speed for a LB and could possibly help off the edge with a pass rush but there will also be an adjustment period for him as he learns our system.
