Without hating on him, Nkemdiche is your normal #1 player. An argument can be made that others in this class deserve #1. But he's a stud, and deserves it.

With Clowney, there was no argument. Many experts said he was the best player in 20 years. A few said he was the best football player they had ever seen. Period.

There's no comparing these two football players.

Clowney could play almost any position on the field and be productive, you can't say the same about Nkemdiche.

I thought we were going to be comparing how they punked the Tigers. That is a much tougher argument. Nkemdiche got to make them look foolish and hypocritical, which does give him some style points, but Clowney showed them up on the field where it should count more.

Tough call really.

Kim is a great player, so there should be no disrespect to him. I think Clowney is faster, quicker, a better team player, and has a better motor. Kim is more naturally strong. Both are franchise type players, though.

Not knocking Kim, but when recruiting agencies are saying there should be a sixth star for someone like Clowney you know his talent is rare to say the least.

We're fortunate to have Clowney at USC. Its too bad that whatever his name is didn't want to come here and try to play on the opposite end with Clowney for a year.

I think when comments were made by several pro scouts who said they
would have taken Clowney right out of HS and he would have made the
Pro Bowl team by his second / third year in the pros if it was legal to do it.

OR

When Sport's Illustrated in 2010 ranked him the #1 on the list of Top 50 HS
recruits of the last 10 years (over names like Cam Newton, Adrian Peterson,
Reggie Bush, etc... you are saying something extra special about his
talent level.

We were very Lucky to have this guy wearing a Gamecock uniform and
not having to play against him with another SEC Team.

All I know is that there is "some" debate over whether Nkemdiche is
truely the Number One guy in the rankings this season.....There were
no experts questioning whether Clowney was the #1 guy at the end
of 2010. There are Always questions whether a guy rated / picked as
#1 lives up to those expectations during his career. So Far, ALL the
Major Experts in College Football are of the opinion that Jadeveon
has lived up to, and exceeded the hype out of HS.

Clowney's HS highlight tape was/is legendary. The only other HS tape that can come close is the equally legendary tape of RB Noel Devine. Nkemdiche is a special player, and will likely see an NFL roster in his future, but Clowney is rarified. Gamecock fans will see a legit #1 draft pick in the NFL...I mean wow!

Clowney had more sacks this season than Nkemdiche had vs HS competition.

Nkemdiche does not play anywhere near the level you would think when you look at him
