![]() Too early to predict anything record wise, but I will say that this team is going to be different than the past 2 years. The offense is going to be the backbone until the youngsters on defense mature.
That means our QB(s) and offensive line better have their shit together starting this Spring because we are going to need to throw some points on the board at least the first 1/2 of the season.

![]() He has publicly stated that he is waiting until after the bowl game to make that decision. He wants to talk it over with his family, but doesn't want that to hang over his head should they lose this game and people blame him for not being focused. Once the bowl game is over, they will decide.
For what its worth, Tony Dungy said he'd take Aaron Murray with the number 1 overall pick because of his work ethic. Tony's son and Murray were high school teammates or something, they used to throw early Saturday and Sunday mornings even in the offseason. Dungy compared him to Peyton Manning in regards to preparation (NOT ABILITY, JUST PREPARATION) but said he would take him over any other QB in this class. Now obviously a lot of teams won't feel that way, but it only takes one. |

![]() Not only is our schedule excellent with two bye weeks and no Lsu or Bama but both fl and ga play Lsu.
I think if we can get a bounce go our way we can go 12-0. I understand how hard that is in the sec but no way we lose to unc at home, wtf? |

![]() With the schedule we have, it's very possible that we go 12-0. Going 12-0 means a few things though. We absolutely HAVE to give UGA and UF a GREAT game, our BEST game to win. Home field advantage with UF, not so with UGA, but still have to play a great game.
Also I think this season we see if Whammy is really for real. Can he take young players and get the same kind of dominant defense that we have had in the last 2 years? We will see.

![]() Agree with cover two. I think the young defense will have some mistakes but the offense will be a very tight bunch of players that like to score. So i hope and pray that the offense for once can bail out of defense.

![]() IMO our defense should drop a bit in most stats....it actually dropped slightly from the 2011 stats, but was still a stellar defense. And it should again be a stellar defense relatively speaking for 2013, and one of the best in the SEC. But biggest concerns for me are losing the entire LB 2-deep, losing Jerideau from the interior DL, and losing both Holloman and Swearinger. That's a LOT of inexperience in the middle of our defense for next season, and IMO it played a huge role in our passing defense being so poor in 2010...
Spurrier has said that he expects to see substantial improvement on offense for '13, but he also said he expected our offense to be good this season, and it was another average offense under Spurrier. I know some key injuries played a part, so hopefully we have a healthier 2013 than 2012. If Shaw can return to his effectiveness running the ball, and continues to improve on his passing (which was very efficient), we could see some improvement. The OL needs to step up big time, but there were some young players that started for us this season that will have substantial experience for next season, so perhaps that helps. The easier schedule at best IMO helps us to maintain the level we had this season....it doesn't really propel us to any higher level. What will be required for that will be the OL and young LBs to make statements next season, and our offensive skill players to stay relatively healthy. IMO we will be stellar along the DL even with Jerideau's departure, and solid in the secondary... Biggest games will be @ UGA and home versus UF, as those will determine whether we win the East or not. UGA will have a LOT to replace on their defense, but Florida should be the REAL tough one for us. We had some tough games that were winnable for us the past 2 seasons - AU in '11, really both games this season - that kept us from winning the division. We'll again need to win those games in '13 if we want to make it back to Atlanta... |

![]() Yes, it is early to start predicting what our record will be like next season, but one thing we can all be assured of is the fact that we will be just as good if not better than Jawja. They lose a lot of very good players off a team that we totally dominated this year and even though we lose some very good players on defense, we still have some very good players who played a good bit ready to step up and become prime time players. Will it be an easy game, who knows as I have watched us play Jawja when they had "killer teams" and we have beat them or hung in there till the end. The only difference now is the fact that they are worried about us more each year and know that it WE ARE NOT THEIR DADDY'S OLD CAROLINA!

I think the 2012 D was better than last year's D but played better competition. Not worried about losing Jerideau. We have good backups there and depth too. My biggest concern for next year is LB but we have some really talented kids coming up. Ced Cooper and Kaiwan are good. Ward said they would have played significantly in past years but we had Demario Jeffrey as a backup this year. We have talent to replace DJ and Devonte, maybe not DJ's swagger but we won't know. Anyway, I feel good about our D and in particular our coaches. If the O plays like it should, we should be lights out. Schedule works good for us. I'm saying 11-1 and that gets us to Atlanta. I called 10-2 for this year in pre-season. on a roll. |
