C. Cooper knee injury

Just heard D Kloninger on 107.5 said Cooper twisted his knee and was carted off the field. Ward said he would go ahead and have an MRI. Now I don't worry too much about how this hurts the bowl game...but if he has a major knee injury this late in the year that will be very bad news bears for next years lb depth. No idea of the severity just passing along what I heard..

Awesome, this is terrible news for next year.. doubt he would even play in the bowl game anyways, he is unneeded for that. CRAP

Glad all the "winning" is helping us in that department. Seems our best recruiting years are after an average season. To say I'm worried about next years D would be putting it mildly.

With this injury and losing Rolin we are already hurting for next year at the position. I think we are going to have a DE end up moving. Devin Washington and D Covington may be the ones to do it

You won't see Washington or Covington playing linebacker.

What you more realistically could see is Kelvin Rainey switching over. Also could see Marcquis Roberts and possibly Kyle Fleetwood get a look there. I would imagine that Bryant, Johnson, and Turner are all going to get a stronger look in the Fall whether they are ready or not.

Remember we only play 2, so if we can find 3 or 4 that could play on Saturdays we will be OK body wise. Experience is a different story.

It is too early to hit the panic button on Cooper. It could just be a sprain.

We will be fine at LB. I have heard Holloman is an incredibly smart footbll player ala Shaq Wilson. It's going to be very difficult to keep L. Bryant off the field next year with his speed/athletic ability. If I had to guess we're looking at a Cooper/Holloman/Lewis/Bryant tandem with Diggs/Golightly at spur.

We do need to pick up the intensity on LB recruiting. Ngakoue is a must-get. I would like to see us try to get Trey Johnson or Rueben Foster back on campus.

Ever heard of Adrian Peterson.Had his knee injury Christmas Eve 2011.Even worst case could see him playing in early 2013 however he does need spring practice to get better for next year with his lack of experience.
