Best part of all this is I can remember our fanbase being equally stupid on some occassions in the past in regards to recruiting, specifically. Why is that good? Its further proof of how much a flip-flop has occurred between Carolina and Clemson. The battered step-brother will always come up with dumb things to say to justify their on the field failures. A buddy of mine that works for Clemson told me that the reason Clowney pushed his commitment announcement past signing day is because he wanted to go to Clemson but he had to wait to see if he could make it into school. The day he was denied admission, he called nick saban and Saban told him flat out no. That's when he called the coot coaches and committed to them. He apparently begged Clemson to take him but they wouldnt. Our admission standards need to change if we want to keep up with teams like LSU and Alabama. We are a Clowney away from being in the national championship this year and next. So blame it on the admissions

Good gosh almighty. This is one of the reasons i cannot stand those bastages. They think they are so high and mighty. They present themselves as being elite and when someone doesn't want to go to that crappy school and play in that bullsheet conference, they make up asinine stories about not being able to get in to make them once again appear superior.......Then begging the defending national champs to play for them. All in an effort to make the choice to play for the gamecocks the third option and make his accomplishments trivial. I really don't understand where their illogical belief that they are some academic powerhouse comes from. I can tell you that outside of Clemson and the state of South Carolina no one thinks of Clemson as a rich academic school.

Lol. Clowney was never going to clemson. His best friends during his senior year were Gilmore, Holloman, Shell, and the Dixon brothers. What do those 5 have in common? They were all playing or about to play for Carolina. He was never going anywhere else.

As far as academic standards, clemson has no difference in their standards than Carolina. They would have bent over backwards to get JC in.
