The Coming Double Team On Clowney
As we all know JD will get the usual double team and sometimes triple team in the upcoming bowl game. Who do you think will step up and have a monster game (besides JD) to offset what Michigan's O-Line will be trying to do? Will it be Kenny Quarles or Byron J coming through the middle or will Devin Taylor step up and have a big game for his last time as a Gamecock? We also need to factor in what Chaz Sutton might do as he does get to play a lot.
I would like to also add that our interior D-Lineman don't get enough credit for what they do each game. These are the big boys in the trenches and we tend to forget what they do for us to be in each game. Just a little love for these guys!  |

If their LT is as good as people say, he shouldnt need help. Will be a good back and forth matchup. Plus they will probably roll Robinson away from Clowney a lot. I dont expect a huge game statistically from JD. We just need him to be disruptive.

They might not double team him for the entire game as certain plays will surely be ran away from him, but it has been rare this year when two offensive players have not had JD as their assignment for blocking in a game. What I am hoping for will be for JD to disrupt the Michigan Game Plan to the point where they have to double team him or even add a RB to help out and this should allow our other D-Lineman to have a huge game. Hopefully, JD will be the FORCE that we have seen in so many of our games this year and the Gamecocks will control Michigan's Offense for the majority of the game. |
