Other than Matt Rolin who did we miss out on that we had a realistic chance of landing? Most people that followed Langley's recruitment knew he wasn't really solid to USC after he took around 4-5 unofficial visits to UGA in a row and he was more of a luxury not a immediate need. Don't say say Tommy Sanders b/c he favored OSU and A&M over us and we got into the picture too late for him. WR Jaquay Williams favored A&M over us as we got into the picture too late, and we don't even need a WR this class due to depth and the possibility of Cooper playing WR. What other top recruits were we not able to close the deal on? If Rolin didn't turn his back on us then no one would be complaining. The only reason people are complaining is because LB is a position of need. Which recruiters do you think are not strong and bring you to the conclusion that we need to hire a strong recruiter? Don't say Sands, Robinson or Botkin as they are in their 1st season at USC and really never had a chance to build relationships and sell recruits on USC. Most recruiters build relationships with high school prospects when they are freshman, sophomores, or juniors. This current class are seniors in high school. You can make realistic judgments on Sands, Robinson, and Botkin recruiting abilities starting for the 2014 recruiting class. IF we can land Golson or Ngakoue then Rolin will be forgotten. We are still in the mix for DT Deadrin Senat, CB Shaq Wiggins, RB David Williams and OT Na'Ty Rodgers.

I'd hope for Golson, Ngakoue is a real long shot and the way some react on this forum it would be better to assume he's a Maryland commit.

To play in the SEC he would need more classes from JUCO. To play in the P12, he does not which is why he committed to ASU.

If he committed to ASU and will going to school there next month, why is he being shown as a 2014 Prospect.

What you just quoted is the answer. More classes required for the SEC than the PAC 12. That is why he is committing.

I am also aware he wore a Gamecock Hat yesterday during his interview for rivals at the ALL-Star game he is playing in.


However, I stand by my statement. If Yannick announces at the Under Armour game like he plans to, it will not be USC.

He said he is going to wear the hat/clothing for every school he is considering.

I wouldn't rule out USC if he announces at the All-American bowl because he could end up OV'ing afterwards. He has been to campus I believe and USC did finish runner up to Maryland.

But I do agree that its not something to get overly excited about at the moment.

why do you say that? He could commit to USC. When is his official visit supposed to be? David Williams is announcing January 4th and is not scheduled to take his official until Jan. 18th. (Could be a similar situation).

1) We are recruiting against Mike Locksley, he is a monster recruiter.
2) He doesn't even have a date set up to take an OV to USC. He is thinking of going to Miami on Jan 18, the day we've been trying to get him to come visit.
3) His teammate and very good friend is working him every day for Maryland.

Lots of commits take their official after they commit. I am confusing him with Wlliams, but there needs to be an offical scheduled for there to be a chance.
