Terry Googer - haven't read about him in a while.

Florida:
Keyon Brown
Dillon Bates - he will end up a Vol, he is a legacy recruit
Rashawn Shaw
Jacob Pugh
Dominique Brown
D'ronzjiah Mathews
Trevon Lee

North Carolina:
Bentley Spain - we are in very good shape here
Derrell Scott - we are in very good shape here

South Carolina:
Shaq Davidson - we are in very good shape here
Donell Stanley - we are in very good shape here
Christian Miller - I think he ends up at a school that runs a 3-4 defense.
Dexter Wideman - we are in very good shape here
Kevin Crosby - we are in very good shape here

I know most of you know those positions/ratings, but added those to show the potential of this class, and I really think we need a monster class to be able to stay near the top of the pack in the SEC.
In addition:
#1 recruit Deshawn Hand has some interest.
Naquez Pringle 4* DT I think we lead, right?
Anthony Moten 4* DE, but always hard to get the top South FL players.

Has the potential to be a very solid class that addresses a lot of needs as well.

We were in contention with alot of players but not top group with this number of highly sought after players like in the 2014 class.

Exactly, the 2014 class has potential to be the best signing class ever at USC, in terms of ratings.

Over the years i have realized that evaluations of talent is mroe critical than the rankings of analysts....The gurus don't know much...Our staff does a fine job of evaluating prospects and getting them inot the right roles in our schemes...As long as we a getting very talented kids of good character, i don't care if the class is ranked top5 or top 15....In that range, you'll be very good if you are evaluating effectively..

Next year's class is absolutely critical if we are to maintain our recent success.

You are right.
Find guys that fit your system and what you are trying to do.
Not what the "rankers" tell you is a good prospect.

"Over the years..." it has been more important to evaluate the prospects that fit into our schemes and then "coach em up". That has worked well for us and has made us a top 10 contender presently and for the forseeable future. But for us to take the next step and become an elite contender year in year out, we must get the elite talent. Look at the national champs the past decade or so and then look at their recruiting rankings for the years leading up to the 'ship...
