Yes, Jay Feltz, basically won the game with an 80 yarder against Clemsux, 1979, I remember it well. In fact this is my first real memory of the SC vs Clem rivalry.

That was the best single punt that I've ever seen.

The best punt performance (read game) was when one of the Colquitts for UTenn against Carolina... maybe early 2000s. He single-handedly beat the Gamecocks. I have never before or since seen a game where a punter had a larger impact.

We've had pretty good punting since at least Succop. I haven't seen a botched punt in a long time, and while we don't consistently pin opponents in the 10 yard line, we are getting them inside the 20.

I think not screwing up is part of being a game changer in this position.

We averaged 38.5 yards a punt this year. Thats aweful.

Great punt but all for not cause Cincy drove it down and scored. So kinda meaningless if you can't get the ball back.

I just don't see Butch recruiting well in the SEC.. You have either the worst or second worst coaching in our division (depending on Stoops and crew), and don't even have the best staff in your own state (Franklin is a monster)..

Duke ran all over Cinci until half of their RBs got knocked out of the game due to helmet to helmets (noticed many Cinci players going helmet first, that's all coaching). The DL was gashed all game, and Duke exposed Cinci's defense. So if that is your future DL coach, good luck!

Cinci's "scheme" was not good, they suffered on 3rd downs, except when Duke stupidly forgot to put a spy on the QB on several occasions. They only exposed Duke's already weak secondary (made weaker by starting safety knocked out) a few times, on balls that should have been better defended. Duke eventually wore down due to lack of depth and injuries, and the RB went off, but had both teams been unscathed, Duke would have won easily. Cinci was LUCKY to win this game, Duke had 3 TO's, and 3+ players concussed, yet were the better team all night long.

I really liked the use of the H-back/TE in the run blocking. Looked similar to the run game SC has. I understand you hate TN and anything you say will be negative so I won't really get into the rest.

I agree he needs to recruit great and that is an unknown for sure...Considering right now he has inherited the 47th best recruiting class in the country what would you consider a win for him in this class? Top 30? Top 25? Top 15?

Dustin Colquitt won us the 2003 @Miami game as well.

He is awesome, just made the Pro Bowl.

Without this punt, Clemsux would have won...... almost did anyway! As I recall, CU had a first and goal...... and failed to score, Carolina wins 13-9!

I was there last night and was at the opposite end of the field...we really thought it'd crossed the goalline for a touchback at first. Great punt, would've been better if the D had been able to stop them.

Those fumbles inside the 5 were killers.
