The Immokalee Indians will play for the 5A Florida state championship Saturday in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando. The game might draw some recruiters from USC. The Gamecocks are going to try to become players with two of the top seniors on the team, DB Mackensie Alexander and DL Deadrin Senat. Both players have done little with their recruiting at this point because of their focus on the season. Alexander has taken an official visit to Clemson. Texas A&M, Miami, Kentucky and Ole Miss were among the schools to scout the players last week. Mississippi State and Florida are also going hard after Alexander. Senat is one of the top defensive linemen in the country and has offers from across the country including USC. He was committed to Florida State but backed off that in May. Florida State has remained high on his list.

DL Jalen Stevens of Goose Creek will take three official visits next month. He plans to visit Appalachian State, Georgia State and Arizona State. Stevens visited Connecticut earlier this season. "I don't really have a favorite," Stevens said. "I'm not sure what I'm going to do." Stevens says he is concentrating on his academics and that a commitment date has not been set. "I know I'm taking those visits next month but after that, I'm not sure," he reiterated.

WR Marquez North of Charlotte was supposed to be at the Shrine Bowl this week where he would get a break from the recruiting scene. But a labrum injury that cost him part of his season forced him out of the game and left him available for recruiters. North Carolina coach Larry Fedora made his in home visit Thursday night. New Tennessee head coach Butch Jones and running back coach Jay Graham also visited this week as did Clemson assistant Danny Pearman. The Tennessee visit took place Wednesday night. "That went really well," said North's father Ramando. "He'll get back to Tennessee to get to know the coaches." North has taken official visits to Tennessee and Florida. He has scheduled a visit with Clemson for January 11th. Mr. North said the battle is basically between Clemson, Tennessee and North Carolina with Oregon having an outside shot. Oregon also has been by the school. "He's taking his time," Mr. North said. "I thought he would make the decision at the Army Game but now he wants to go back to Tennessee and see what they have to offer, so he's taking his time."

WR Jordan Berry of Dutch Fork is still waiting on his first offer but has received interest from several new schools. USC continues to send him letters and has invited Berry to attend bowl practices which he plans to do. North Greenville, Wingate and Western Carolina join Elon as other schools showing interest. "They're all showing a pretty good amount of interest," said Berry. "And they're all trying to set up visits for me in January." He says he may visit all four. "I don't know too much about them but I do have some former teammates playing at some of the schools," he said naming North Greenville, Elon and Wingate as those schools. As for what he is looking for he said, "I'll see how much I like the campus and check out their academics. I also want to go somewhere I can contribute on the field." He does not have a favorite.

If Robinson (early enrollee) sticks with Clemson, North won't be considering Clemson IMO. I've heard this is strictly a UNC/Tenn battle right now.

He ain't going to Clemson. They already have a ton of WR committed even though they lost a couple. They're losing Boyd and their OC is doing everything he can to get out of town.

DL Keith Bryant has of Miami has set official visits to Florida State January 12th, USC on the 19th and Oklahoma on the 26th. He’s also considering a visit to Miami on February 2nd. Bryant has visited Purdue. Bryant decommitted from Miami earlier this month.

DL Montravius Adams of Vienna, GA saw his season end with a loss in the 1A state championship game. Now, Adams is ready to focus his attention on the next step in his recruiting, and that's deciding on his five official visits. "I two to three days I'll have my top five," Adams said Monday afternoon. "Clemson probably will be in there." Adams said he will schedule his official visits with those five schools. Monday Adams took phone calls from North Carolina, Auburn and Ole Miss. He will wait until Signing Day to make his announcement.

Jordan also said that according to his senior Shrine Bowl ATH Mykal Moody, USC and Clemson are telling him he is a take for them if he qualifies.

Scary thing is if you look at next year's class the way it stacks up based on interest early that may end up a group on the OL that is better than this year's very good OL class.
