AP is an example of pure class. Would have loved to seen him get it. If their defense had made one more stop be would have got it but who knows how the scoring would have played out. Ponder is showing he can play some. That was the most i have felt invested in a nfl game in a long time.

Damn, Blair Walsh, you couldn't miss the FG?

I think Peterson's season is more impressive than Dickerson's, even though he didn't get the record. Amazing ACL comeback aside, he got so close while having a a significant number of fewer carries. 6.0 YPC is beastly.

It's pretty neat to think that with Calvin Johnson's historic season, we might be watching the most talented players at their position ever. Since I started watching football as a kid, I think only Randy Moss is comparably dominant to Megatron (Larry Fitzgerald has the potential, if only he was ever paired with a great QB in their prime). AD's closest talent in recent years is probably LaDainian Tomlinson, but without a doubt can be talked about with historic greats like Barry Sanders, Jim Brown, etc.

I was shocked that before this game he had never in his NFL career carried the ball more than 32 times in a game.

yeah its arguable that peterson had the more impressive rushing season. then again i think barry sanders 1997 season is the best since the nfl went to 16 games.
