Idk. He was hurt laying on the ground and they flagged him. I learned today that awful officiating isn't just in the SEC. It's a major issue all over college football

Pure speculation on my part, but I think maybe they considered him staying huddled on the ground to be excessive celebration. But the postgame guys said it was possible the wrong number was called or that Ace might have been "jawing".

I still can't believe the first down they called that wasn't. I mean, that wasn't even a blown call...it was like a call that was blown, then blown UP, then thrown under the bus and shipped back to Michigan, where the officials met it, blew it again, jumped on the bus and rode back to the stadium so they could blow some more.

The officiating was bad but even though they called only one or two holding penalties they did call their oline for illegal hands to the face that never gets called in college. Also after michigan last td when their wr threw the ball in the air that is by rule unsportsmanlike conduct but no call. The first down measurement was one of the most attrocious calls i have ever seen

Ace was clubbed out of the back of the endzone by a UM thug as he was crashing into the wall. Maybe he complained about it and the ref flagged him instead of the thug.

the 2 times they called it the blocker never let go of the mask and almost ripped the mans head off - it wasnt simply hands to the face

Clearly, scoring that TD was unsportsmanlike. Can't have that kind of behavior in NCAA football! We have to nip that in the bud!
