Anyone else notice how beat up the field looked at Tampa? Our db's kept slipping...esp compared to the Orange bowl field, looks like carpet.

Tampa Bay actually plays football on their field, the Hurricanes not so much.

he said that we either had on the wrong type of cleats or we werent planting our feet correctly said he was going to watch film and see if its a technique not being done correctly or just cleats. hampton seemed to fall down everytime he tried to move

Are you sure it wasn't the fancy UA cleats?

Probably not. Denard Robinson was skating around out there on that turf too.

As a band member who spent time marching on that field I can tell you that the field in Tampa was by far the worst field conditions of any field this season. It was soft, sloppy and the grass was spotty at best. Just flat out horrible. But regardless, there's only so much those crappy UA cleats could have helped anyways.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. There were plenty of dirt patches throughout the field. Even the goal posts looked terrible. Up close you could see a good bit of rust.

Connor Shaw put on twitter “3rd time the sole of my Under Armour shoes have completely busted. And we wonder why so many people have ‘freak’ foot injuries on the team..” It was deleted i believe. Multiple sites reported it. Seems the UA shoe sucks.

Two things

1. We are getting jobbed by UA. How long is the contract?

2. All athletes should have to submit tweets to a grad assistant to review if Spurrier won't out right ban it for the year. There is very little good that comes from it and a whole lot of headaches.

LOL submit every tweet? 85 players and 800-2000 tweets per player an offseason. They are banned during the reg season then let off which is fair to me. Wouldn't you be mad if you hurt your ankle three times this year wearing cleats that keep busting out? Yes he shouldn't of said it but people get frustrated heck he has to get surgery if it's from wearing the shoe i have no idea .

The orange bowl field was a thousand times better than when Clemson was there last year. I think they really went all out since the National Championship is also going to be played on that field.
