Worst call ever in a college football game? - Page 7

There's no doubt in my mind that something is indeed 'up' with the officiating crew yesterday. I mean, the ref just glanced at it and signaled first down real quick like he was going to get away with it. The measurement stood and the game resumed, but that MF'r has been called out by everyone who's seen the replay of that deal. I'd like to see a professional journalist take this on to pester a straight answer out of someone in an official capacity.

Well, after it took them 2 minutes to move the ball back to the 35(from the 40) after Yates had a kickoff go out of bounds... that should tell you the Big East should stick to basketball..

I was in disbelief, then heard Todd Ellis say, "no wonder the big east is falling apart". Made me laugh. Then in post game them saying the ref was prime candidate for a visit to Sandsbury Eye Center. good stuff

Don't know if somewhere in the game thread this was mentioned but up here in Michigan 1 of the local radio talk show guys who covers Michigan football on the field for their games said he was out at midfield for the coin toss. Ref asked Swearinger to make the call when the coin was in the air & our guy clearly heard Swearinger call heads. Coin came down heads & ref says "Son, you need to make a call before the coin hits the ground."
