I understand this will take some bowl game projections, but we beat Georgia handily, clempson, Michigan, and a few other bowl teams during the year. Georgia and clempson will likely end in the top 10, Georgia in the top 5. No way clempson should finish the year above us, but I wouldn't put anything past the polls.
What think ye? |

I was wondering if the tiigers over the tigers would help us to a better final position since we beat the tiigers so handily.

I think we'll finish 8th or 9th.

I don't think they do another BCS, so we'd probably look at the AP Poll. We are 11th in that because Ohio State isn't banned from that one. I see us jumping LSU but that's it. We could pass A&M if they lose to Oklahoma, but then Oklahoma would probably leap us with a tougher opponent win. So that's moot. There's not another team in the top-10 that will get a 3rd loss, and I don't think we would catapult over another 2-loss team (potentially Bama, UF, Oregon, KSU.) So my AP guess is #10 for us. Hopefully voters don't do anything silly like putting Florida State or Clemson ahead of us out of ACC sympathy.
Last year we were #9 in AP, guessing #10 this year. Writers can be fickle folks, as we know, so we shall see. |

Every time Clemson farts they get put ahead of us in the AP poll. I'm sure they'll finish ahead of us.

If A&M loses, and K-State loses to Oregon by 10 or more points... I think we jump those 2 teams, and end up 7th... If not, we probably end up at #9 (We will be ahead of LSU)

I think you will see:
1. Alabama 2. Florida 3. Oregon 4. Notre Dame (because I think the Irish lose by 14+) 5. Stanford 6. Georgia 7. Texas A&M (pending a win over Oklahoma) 8. South Carolina 9. Clemson 10. FSU

No way Clemson jumps FSU, IMO.

Maybe not, but it is possible. Clemson did beat a much better opponent although I do think FSU's win H2H gives them favor. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work that way...or else we would be ranked ahead of Georgia.

Best Case-7
Worst Case-10 Most likely, 9.

FSU are the ACC champions so they have one more win than Clemson and they also won a BCS bowl game. I just don't see Clemson jumping them. Georgia also played one more game than we did so they have a extra win over us as well.

8 or 9. No way Clemmons passes FSU. They beat them head to head and FSU destroyed NIU as predicted.
