Go watch the rebroadcast, Gruden was screwing up on a lot. He's a cool guy, but he did zero homework for this game. He's the rockstar of play-by-play, so he can get away with it.

I did notice our guys being called the Carolina Panthers a couple times. I got a laugh out of that.

I guess that is forgivable considering they're used to calling Monday Night Football and not college.

But you could really see a difference in quality in comparison to the usual college announcers out there, except for Kirk H. and Brent M., I enjoy their announcing.

i did watch the game... twice already. he called us the panthers... got shaw and dylan mixed up (but corrected himself) and thats pretty much it. he did a good job and even knew the special teams guys first names that were on the field maybe 5 plays all game. mike and jon def did their homework and i will take them announcing a game over any other announcers

I was really happy with how they handled the ref screw up. Instead of trying to stay out of it, they straight up called out the refs and said USC was screwed. That just made Clowney's hit that much better.

Best Broadcasting crew out there, after listening to Verne stumble a few times in the other game i was happy we got who we got. I loved the replays of the plays, the talk about the blitzes being brought, the comparison of Michigans offense to the Redskins. They definitely did their homework

They were definitely better than most. I liked the fact that they totally bashed the referee for the terrible call on the first down. Usually, most announcers try to take up for refs. These guys said stuff like, "what was he looking at?"

OTH, I do have some gripes.

Gruden said that Shaw was not a home run threat running. He did not have a clue as to how fast Connor can run. I guess Connor showed him later in the game on the 65 yarder.

There was also a point in the third quarter or early fourth quarter where they started talking about how the Big Ten was going to show the SEC. They are sick of hearing how great the SEC players are. I got the impression that they were cheerleading at that point.

I agree. He had a good game against the best DE in the country. Michigan's offense made it difficult for Clowney to get sacks with all the misdirection and moving the pocket. Designed to minimize Clowney's effectiveness.
