I hope so too. Arizona wants Simmons though and the Braves will not get rid of him. Wren will have to convince the Diamondbacks of another player or prospect to include, but it will be tough.

Arizona already acquired a SS in that trade with Cleveland. That's what prompted them to take Upton off the trading block. They were willing to trade him for a major league ready guy. They got one and took him off. I think now they realize they need starting pitching. We have it. Now whether we pull the right strings is yet to be seen. More than likely won't happen.

And the new hats suck. But the pansy media saying the Braves have some type of racist conspiracy agenda is rather laughable.

They can have 1 of the big 2 arms. My trade is Ahmed, Delgado, and EOF for Upton.

I think we could get by just trading one of those pitchers and building a package around him with some other quality minor league players

That trade with Cleveland crossed my mind after I made the post. Arizona has two shortstops I believe they aquired in a trade this offseason. Upton might be tired of all this trade talk, and will go to management to say to trade him. He talked earlier about playing with his brother in Atlanta. Wren has to see the writing on the wall with this opportunity. I would hope.

i hope we can get him away for a decent package. Getting the Upton brothers together will be awesome. Possibly package some of that nasty pitching depth in the farm and maybe some pen guys and resign Moylan for cheap.

Give it 3 days and the Upton talk will fizzle out again.

And we aren't resigning Moylan. Wren said we have our bullpen guys. We have Cory Gearinn. Better than Peter, IMO. Between Walden, Venters, EOF, Avilan, C-Mart, Gearinn, Delgado, and Kimbrel, Moylan didn't really have a slot. One of the guys I mentioned wont even get a slot. No need to resign someone when you've got internal options

I'm just saying, if you are Justin Upton, at what point have you just had enough and go to the management and say "This is getting insane. Either trade me or stop putting out there and yanking me back."

This is at least the 5th time they've put him out there. And the 4th time that I can remember them talking to us. Remember last year there were talks about Prado for Upton? If I were him I'd demand a trade. And who knows? He may have. I'd come here if I were him too because of BJ being here. However, Texas makes sense as well. Hitters park, not a very strong division pitching wise.

My prediction: He's a D-Back opening day.

EOF has so much value. He's the best non closer in baseball. We've only got him for 1 more year. Trade him. Or heck, just throw his name out there and see what happens.
