The computers love Florida.... so that will keep them ahead of us...
A blowout win by the Ducks tonight will move us ahead of K-State.... a close win by Oregon, or a K-State win would hurt our chances moving up.... I dont see us passing Oregon...

they dont do a post bowl bcs rankings so the computers are irrelevant other than the individual computer rankings deciding to release their post bowl rankings on their own.
if i was doing rankings id feel inclined to drop florida below us, louisville ahead of florida but behind us, due to have more quality wins and better losses. basically after the championship game we'll have as strong of a case as anybody to be the highest ranked team with 2 losses, but not many voters will see it that way. |

If Bama just absolutely destroys ND, is there a chance we jump them?

Florida destroyed Ohio State (their first loss) and they dropped one spot.

1: Alabama
2: Oregon 3: Stanford (a lot I others love Stanford) 4: Notre Dame (ditto) 5: Georgia 6: Texas A&M 7: Gamecocks or Florida (a lot of voters remember that game) 8: Florida or Gamecocks 9: Kansas St. (Can't believe they will fall down more) 10: Florida St. 11: Clemson 12: LSU 13: Boise St 14: LSU 15: Oklahoma As best as I can figure. I think we end up #8, hard for voters to put us above the Gators. |

Does anyone think that an 18 point loss by KState drop them below us?

Great job forgetting Ohio State everybody! Sadly though, the AP will vote them #1 no matter what happens.

Most likely scenario with ALA and TAM winning their bowl games.
Coaches AP 1. ALA 1. ALA 2. ND 2. ND 3. ORE 3. ORE 4. UGA 4. OSU 5. STAN 5. UGA 6. FLA 6. STAN 7. TAM 7. FLA 8. USC 8. TAM 9. KSU 9. USC 10. FSU 10. KSU 11. CLEM 11. FSU 12. LSU 12. CLEM I thought about dropping Florida behing TAM and USC and bumping them up one each, but just couldn't justify it seeing how all teams have two losses and FLorida beat them both in regular season. USC could be as high as 6 in coaches and 7 in AP if we could somehow jump TAM and Florida. Lowest in coaches I could reason is 9 with KSU staying ahead of us and lowest in AP being 10 due to OSU. |

Assuming ALA and Texas A&M win
1: Alabama. 13-1 2: Oregon 12-1 3: Notre Dame 12-1 4: Ohio State 12-0 5: Georgia 11-2 6: Stanford. 12-2 7: Texas A&M 11-2 8: Gamecocks/Florida 11-2 9: Florida/gamecocks.11-2 10: Kansas St 11-2 11: Florida St 12-2 12: Clemson 11-2 13: LSU 10-3 14: Boise St 11-2 15: Oklahoma 10-3 Quite a logjam of teams with two losses. If we end up at #8, it will be a great finish for 2012 |

Does our AP and Coaches ranking have any direct relation to where we start next season ranked? Isn't that what really matters at this point?

I wouldn't be surprised if A&M loses because Stoops has had a full month to prepare for Johnny Football.
Stoops is a defensive genius. This is what he lives for. He will force A&M to win through the efforts of other players.
